About us
Monash University Parkville campus houses the Faculty of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, which comprises of Monash Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Centre for Medicinal Use and Safety. The world-class pharmacy and pharmaceutical sciences research conducted on this campus has been ranked 5/5 in the 2012 ERA ratings. Our research program is currently training around 130 HDR students and holds a high completion rate.
While Monash Parkville is training high achieving HDR students, these students are often unaware that the wide array of skills they obtain during their training actually make them desirable candidates for careers in many different sectors, including academia, law, industry, business and communications.
Therefore, by inviting professionals from various sectors to engage in a forum with Monash Parkville students, our goals are to #1 – present to HDR and undergraduate students the broad set of career paths that are available for people who have completed a science research PhD and #2 – promote the networking between the talented professionals currently training in Monash Parkville and our invited speakers.

History and Alumni
The Parkville Career Forum (PCF) was founded in 2014 by three PhD candidates: Amy Chen, Thomas Coudrat and Nicole Eise. With guidance from Dr. Karen McConalogue and A/Prof. Phil Thompson, the PCF ran an inaugural "What Is Out There?" forum on August 15th 2014. We are grateful for the continued support of the Faculty of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences to run these events.
